Rosato "Confident this is the year for the Deacons.”

One of the most exciting newcomers for the Demon Deacons out of training camp has been freshman defenseman Colin Rosato. The New Hampshire native made a big impact on both team leaders and the coaching staff during team events in Greensboro. Rosato says he is very much ready to take on the challenge of the ACCHL.

What do you anticipate from this season?

" I anticipate a break out season for the skating deacs.  It’s been a long time coming and I have a lot of faith in this group.  From the physicality to the scoring touch, the boys just seem to have it all this year."

What's your go to pregame meal?

Chocolate and chick fil A sauce, just gives me that mix of carbs and energy to keep the legs alive.

Who would you consider to be your NHL level comparison?

"Personally I’d say Brad Marchand, but the scouts tend to say Mcdavid."

What's your Pump Up Song?

Thunderstruck by ACDC

Needless to say, Colin Rosato is ready to go.

Tryouts Held In Greensboro!

The boys finally made it back out on the ice last weekend at the Greensboro Ice House. Skates were led by seniors Michael Kenney and Ryan Siffringer as 37 players worked very hard to earn a place on the 2022-23 team. Junior Jack Chauvin said on the weekend, "The team is shaping up very nicely. A few of us probably weren't in the shape that we should be coming into camp but Kenney and Siff really lit a fire under us this weekend, it should be a great year for us."

The team welcomed 11 new players to the team as well after tryouts; Sophomores Adam Custable and Ethan Lilien as well as freshman Carter Heekin, Tommy Albrighton, Joey Macina, Will Whalen, Colin Rosato, Eli Race, Will Peterson, Jesper Snow, and Alex Wilen.

The boys will hit the for their first game next Friday night against Stevenson College at 10:30 PM from the Greensboro Ice House.

Wake To Take On Stevenson In Season Opener

Wake Forest hockey is back... almost. Sitting at time of writing only 8 days away from the season opener, the tension and the excitement around the WFU hockey locker room is palpable.

The last time the Deacs took the ice was last February when they suffered a 4-3 OT defeat to the NC State Icepack, the eventual Admiral's Cup Champions. With the loss of key players such as Drew Gebhardt and Brendan Gregorie can the team find a new identity in rising seniors Ryan Siffringer, Michael Kenney, Jack Nemickas, and Evan Smith? What about Sophomore defenseman Colin Licavoli, can he repeat his heroic campaign from his freshman year? Will a new recruit be the face of the 2022-23 Demon Deacons Hockey Club? Only time will tell.
